Q3)How they target different audiences and WHY they target different audiences. You have to use your case study in your answer. BBC radio is a Public service broadcasting, this means they do not have advertisements on their radio. If you do have advertisements you are a commercial. Radio programmes target different audiences for money )PBS have to target a range of audiences to be allowed on air). They target different audiences by having different artists and genres on the show.
Public service broadcasts like the BBC Radio One Live lounge have to target different audiences as they are not allowed to be put on air unless they meet certain standards. One off these standards is that they have to target a range of different audiences. The BBC targets different audiences through their presenters, they have Clara Anfo as the host on Radio One who is well known amongst the younger audience so will draw that age range in to listening to the radio.
Q4)Terminology is key, read the question PROPERLY! Representation is how they are shown. Make sure to look at the cover lines also when it comes to representing artists. Restrained colour gives the artists and magazine a sense of seriousness. The black background also gives the magazine a sense of seriousness. fits the stereotype.
The Mojo magazine cover shows that rock artists can also be old as well as young whilst also being serious. This can be shown through both the black and white image of a young Ray Davies as the main image and also a smaller image of Neil Young in the corner of the magazine, both of these images are surrounded by a black background and restrained colours which gives them a sense of seriousness.
Q5) Asterisk means that spelling and grammar can give you extra marks in a question. When a question wants you to make judgements you can either evaluate as you go along or add a conclusion at the end of your answer that shows how far you agree with the statement.
